Which is what inspired me to create this blog post on 7 daily creative habits you can implement today. These habits are some that I personally use in my daily life and have brought more joy and mindfulness into my routine. My hope is they do the same for you!
7 Daily Creative Habits To Stay Inspired
- Morning Pages/Journaling

If you’re anything like me and have a million thoughts running at once. Journaling can provide a safe space to vent, process and reflect without any judgement. Just you and your thoughts. Its a great practice for self awareness. You’ll start to notice patterns like what is triggering you, what motivates you, what drains or energizes you.
Some prompts for flee flow journaling can look like:
- Whats really on my mind right now, even if it feels silly or small?
- I cant stop thinking about…
- The thing I wish i could say out loud is…
- I wonder what would happen if…
2. Create One Thing Daily

There is so much power in creating something daily. The more you create, the more ideas you spark! This dosen’t have to be anything grand either. It can be as simple as drawing, creating a poem, 1 minute voice memo, even a blog post! The options are endless.
Something I’ve recently gotten into is scrap booking. I love it because you can get as creative as you want with it. Ive even started collecting stickers and scrap paper. The last page i created, I went for a vintage look and filled it up with my favorite vintage stickers and love letters. (I attached a photo of one my pages above-It was butterfly themed)
3. Take One Meaningful Photo A Day
Capture something that stands out each day. Something that made you happy inside even if its just sunlight on your desk. This gets you in a habit of seeing beauty in the ordinary.
For example, today I went to a new coffee shop in town and was surprised to find out it was a small boutique shop as well. They had beautiful journals, jewelry, stickers, art work and so much more. It was nothing out of the ordinary but it made me happy to see how many creative and artsy things were in there.
4. Listen to Inspiring Podcasts
Listening to 1 podcast a day has been a new habit i’ve been incorporating daily and has made such a difference in my day to day life. I typically listen to one each morning and it sets such a positive tone for the day ahead. It keeps me inspired and motivated to take on the day.
I personally like listening to podcast rooted in personal development but the podcast options are endless. One podcast Ive been loving lately is Jay Shetty. He often features conversations with celebrities, psychologist, entrepenuers and they are all rooted in mindfulness, love and purpose-driven living. Highly recommend if your looking for a podcast to get into!
5. Move Your Body

It’s so important to move your body daily. This can be a walk around the neighborhood, yoga, dancing, whatever keeps your body moving. Daily movement improves your circulation, oxygen flow so you feel less sluggish and alert throughout the day.
If you’re like me and your work revolves around sitting majority of the day, daily movement is essential. I personally aim to hit the gym 3 times a week and when Im not at the gym, i’ll take a nightly walk around the neighborhood or freestyle dance in my room to my favorite song haha.
6. Reflect Every Night
I have found this is essential for a good nights rest. Throughout the day we are constantly absorbing, reacting, planning. Reflecting at night helps you sort out your thoughts, let go of unnecessary thoughts and mentally declutter so your not taking that chaos into sleep. This can be in the from of writing or recording yourself through a video or voice memo.
Its a great way to reflect and notice patterns-how you reacted, what triggered you, what made you feel or off that all help with creativity flow.
Some questions to ask yourself can be
- What Inspired me today?
- What did i notice that i didnt before?
- what emotions did i feel today and why?
7. Create A Playlist

Creating playlists for your different moods is such a life saver. Whenever you’re in the mood for a certain genre of music, you already have the playlist created. All you have to do is hit play!
creating playlists by genre is a fun way to stay inspired, focused and connected to your work. When you intentionally choose your playlist, you’re choosing your energy. Your setting the tone for how you want to feel and how you want to create.
Personally I love Lo-fi or jazz music when i want to be in a focused mindset and when Im feeling creative and Inspired ill play my favorite pop or alternative music.
